Myoken Ishiharaso: A Timeless Hotel Design

Embracing the Healing Power of Nature

Healing in nature. It is said that entering a natural hot spring enhances the natural healing power that humans originally have.

Renowned designer Go Fujita has created a truly unique hotel experience with Myoken Ishiharaso. This exceptional hotel embraces the healing power of nature, offering guests a serene and rejuvenating stay. Inspired by the ancient tradition of natural hot springs in Japan, Myoken Ishiharaso provides a semi-open air space where visitors can immerse themselves in the culture of these healing waters.

What sets Myoken Ishiharaso apart is its timeless design, which eliminates unnecessary decorations and combines natural materials. The guest rooms, designed as minimal and tranquil spaces, allow the beauty of the lush canyon outside to take center stage. Traditional crafts such as Kumiko lattice, Japanese paper, and natural stone are used to stimulate the senses, creating a harmonious connection between the indoors and the surrounding nature.

The highlight of Myoken Ishiharaso is the semi-outdoor space, featuring a hot spring and a rest area. Guests can indulge in the hot springs at any time without worrying about privacy, as the space offers a secluded and intimate experience. The gentle breeze from the nearby river further enhances the healing effect, soothing both the mind and body after a relaxing bath.

With a total space area of 119 square meters, Myoken Ishiharaso provides ample room for guests to unwind and find solace in the natural surroundings. The design team faced various challenges during the renovation of the 80-year-old main building, striving to create a new design while preserving the structure's integrity. The use of natural materials such as Japanese paper, wood, and stone required the expertise of skilled craftsmen, ensuring a seamless integration of traditional elements into the modern design.

Myoken Ishiharaso is not just a hotel; it is a testament to the healing power of nature and the artistry of Japanese design. By offering guests the opportunity to experience the benefits of natural hot springs in a luxurious and timeless setting, this hotel truly stands out. It is no wonder that Myoken Ishiharaso was awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its outstanding design, practicality, and innovation.

Experience the tranquility and rejuvenation of Myoken Ishiharaso, where nature and design intertwine to create a truly unforgettable stay.
